AIG Risk Management, Inc. vs. Motel 6 Operating L.P., 960 S.W.2d 301 (Tex. App. - Corpus Christi 1997, no pet.)
Attorney Ric Godinez assisted Attorney Werner Powers, of Hayes & Boone's Dallas office, as local counsel in representing Motel 6 in this commercial litigation case against Motel 6's commercial insurance carrier, AIG. The attorneys were successful in obtaining a TRO against AIG that was upheld on appeal. As a result, the case was successfully settled on behalf of their client for a confidential amount.

Dizdar vs. Moreno, 2003 WL 22478606, (Tex. App. - Corpus Christi 2003, no pet.) (per curiam opinion)
Attorney Ric Godinez represented the homeowners, the Moreno family, against the developer of a subdivision that sold the Moreno's a residential lot. The homeowner's were unable to locate the sewer line during construction, and incurred substantial costs in searching for the line and providing alternative sewer service to the lot. Mr. Godinez filed a negligence, fraud, and DTPA case against the developer to recover the loss, and obtained a favorable jury verdict on behalf of the Moreno's. The developer paid the entire judgment, with interest, after the verdict was upheld on all points on appeal.

Alaniz vs. Univision, 2003 WL 22845288, (Tex. App. - Corpus Christi 2003, no pet.) (per curiam opinion)
Attorney Ric Godinez represented Entravision Communications, Inc. d/b/a Univision Channel 48 in this employment discrimination case. Mr. Godinez successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of his employer-client, which was appealed by the Plaintiff-employee. The summary judgment was upheld on appeal.
